Aircraft included in the ‘Airlines & Aircraft of the Ansett Group 1921-2002’ Edition 5 DVD by Fred Niven:

Registrations surrounded by brackets were not taken up, or never actually operated by the airline.
Registrations followed by (1), (2), etc, indicate that they were the 1st, 2nd etc aircraft to be allocated that registration.
World War II military call-signs are shown without a hyphen after VH.

The histories of the following airlines & aircraft are covered in the DVD. Most are also covered by photos.
There are around 7,000 photographs in the DVD’s 3,200 ‘pages’.

Adastra Airways Pty. Ltd.
Aircraft operated solely before the start of airline service, or after the cessation of airline services, by Adastra Airways, or by Adastra Aerial Surveys are not covered, as they definitely never operated airline services. Some which have been included, as they fit the airline operation ‘window’, may well never have operated airline service, but have been included, just-in-case.

One source suggests that the following F.27s flew ad-hoc services for A.S.A.,
during the periods noted : VH-FNE? (12/66? & 12/68?), VH-FNK (4/68, 7/68 & 11/68), VH-FNL (3/68 & 7/68), VH-FNM (11/66 & 2/68), VH-FNN (2/68),
VH-FNS (3/67), VH-FNT (7/69), VH-MMO (10/70 & 8/71), VH-MMS (1/72). It should be noted that A.S.A. F.27s often operated Ansett's 'milk run' flights Adelaide-Darwin & were replaced by Ansett F.27s on an 'ad-hoc' basis. So this list does not claim to be complete.
Fokker 50 A.T.I.’s order for Fokker 50s, announced 13/2/85, included aircraft for A.S.A. No F50 served with A.S.A.
